The reason the waves end is most likely casued by one of 2 things. either someone killed the general on one of the sides or the chaos defend bosses had already been completely beaten.. there are certain charcters in-game who can do massive amounts of damage and can blow through all 10 bosses alone in under 30 minutes. once all bosses have been defeated and beetle killed the waves end. also as i stated if the general of either camp dies the waves also end. i hope that helps.
